haven’s comprehensive guide to cattos

so, it’s been a minute since i’ve played destiny 2 — both because of in-game reasons and out-of-game ones — not that i don’t love the universe and generally the concept as i’ve been able to put some time into destiny rising, the mobile game. there’s a ton to do in the game and one of those things is a fishing minigame. i chose this as the “thing to do” to bury the lede a little, as the city has a bunch of cats and you can feed them the fish that you catch. sometimes you even catch a gun, too.

in any case, i was waiting to post this until i’d actually managed to get a clean picture with all of them but the spawn points are random and the one that’s outside skorri’s across from the bounty board hasn’t been back since i decided to document them all, so i’ll just add them to the gallery later when they come back. or if i find new spots, or apparently to fix that picture of the one inside the throne room.

update: october 12th, still no cat in front of skorri’s but i totally forgot about this one, haven’t seen him in at least a month

update: october 13th (but posted the next day bc i forgot) i hadn’t seen this lil’ guy before either but he got fed today

update: october 20th, finally got that cat in front of skorri and fed that little bastard

Right in the center of the Plaza, next to Lady Skorri’s. I was starting to worry that this one was a hallucination, as it’s been a month since the last time they came around.
On pathway between the Archives and the Neiva Memorial Pond, next to a statue. Surprised that one was here instead of next to where all the fish are, at the pond.
On the pathway between the Armory and the Garden (The Speaker), sitting on a market stall. There’s a bench to the right just offscreen you can sit on.

On the pathway between the Plaza and the Bazaar, tending these market stalls. The wall to the right has directions painted on it so it’s pretty hard to miss this little one.
In the center area of the Bazaar, sitting on the shelf of a market stall. You have to jump the two tables in front to get in to be able to pet this one.
On a counter at the gunsmith Bazinet’s shop in the Armory. Took a while just hanging out here to get a picture without five players just stacked up at the desk.
Hanging out down here at Donovan’s — the Shifting Gates dude — in the Armory. “Down here” does a lot of work in that sentence.

Also in the Armory, in an open hangar bay, hanging out on some construction materials. Something something construction workers and cat calls something something witty sentence.
In the Garden, next to the Speaker. Odd choice on the map that the Speaker didn’t have the Traveler in the background as that’s on the other side of Haven by the Bonfire.
By the entrance to Haven. Not that many people actually have a reason to come out here when most people land a little further in by Skorri and the Bounty Board.
On the pathway between the Armory and the Plaza. Probably the best spot in town, at the ramen shop.

Also along the Plaza to Armory pathway, next to this informational mural on a wall. I wasn’t expecting to run into a new friend on my way to decrypt engrams but it was a pleasant surprise.
On the pathway between the Bazaar and the Plaza, there is a walkway towards the Bonfire where this little dude was hanging out by a restaurant with some incredibly scenic outdoor seating.
Just inside the entrance to the Bad Old Time tavern, there is a small stage/garden/shoppe thing. Not sure how they grow flowers in here, but the Light is funny that way I guess?
Also at the Bad Old Time, downstairs at the bar. Doesn’t seem too hygienic but there’s nobody here complaining (and while we can sit at the bar we can’t order drinks outside of cutscenes anyway).
Outside of the Throne Room, just up the staircase on the left side. Didn’t seem like a great location to catch random passersby with fish to spare, but they caught me up here so it looks like it worked out well.
Just inside the right side entrance to the Throne Room, sitting on a pillar. I could not get the camera mode to cooperate with this guy which is why Gwynn is kind of standing in a weird spot.
